As legend has it, St Gwenfaen from whom the church at Rhoscolyn and medieval well nearby are named after, took refuge on top of this rock stack after fleeing her hermitage from viking raiders.
As the tide came in and threatened to cover her rocky refuge, the angels descended and carried her away.
Ian Mitchell is a photographer and digital artist who specialises in landscapes, seascapes and indoor architecture. Ian frequently visits the Snowdonia National Park, to capture endless, evocative, and powerful images. Ian has taken photographs for most of his life but only recently become passionate about sharing and selling his work that brings pleasure to himself and others.
