Description
The stream here runs shallow, but quite strong. The water is clear, free of mud and debris. In the middle stands an island of moss covered stone. A dark green sentinel to the surrounding water. The sun has come out from behind its curtain of clouds now, lighting upon the softly running water, making it sparkle like a thousand precious gems.. A hawk circles overhead, searching out food perhaps. Or maybe it's just flying home to its nest.
I hear the rush of the wind through those green leaves. It has grown quite chilly. All I hear now is the wind and the chatter of squirrels, and a leaf falls, guided by the wind, into the lazy current.
