Llanddwyn Island is a magical place. Located at the far end of a pleasant beach near Newborough Warren, this narrow finger of land is an ideal visit during fine weather, but also an exhilarating place when the winter winds blow. Its rolling dunes, large rock outcrops and mixture of historic buildings makes it an ideal place for an afternoon of exploration.
As I walk down to the coast the sand is as white and pure as snow, it extends along the whole expanse of the seashore. I hear the seagulls loudly shriek as they soar gracefully above. As I step onto the beach, my nostrils detect the sweet smell of seaweed breezing in off of the ocean. When I near the water I hear the crashing waves collide against the shore with their relaxing, rhythmic splashes like smooth jazz.
Ian Mitchell is a photographer and digital artist who specialises in landscapes, seascapes and indoor architecture. Ian frequently visits the Snowdonia National Park, to capture endless, evocative, and powerful images. Ian has taken photographs for most of his life but only recently become passionate about sharing and selling his work that brings pleasure to himself and others. His main aim in his work is to try and take you to that special place, and try and share with you the beauty and atmospheric feel he enjoyed, whilst capturing the image.
