The Duke of Lancaster was a railway steamer passenger ship that operated in Europe from 1956 to 1979, and is currently beached near Mostyn Docks, on the River Dee, north-east Wales.
She arrived at her new home at Llanerch-y-Mor, near Mostyn, on 10 August 1979, and has been there for the last 38 years.
Ian Mitchell is a photographer and digital artist who specialises in landscapes, seascapes and indoor architecture. Ian frequently visits the Snowdonia National Park, to capture endless, evocative, and powerful images. Ian has taken photographs for most of his life but only recently become passionate about sharing and selling his work that brings pleasure to himself and others. His main aim in his work is to try and take you to that special place, and try and share with you the beauty and atmospheric feel he enjoyed, whilst capturing the image.
